Support the Young Benefactors:
Contributions are absolutely critical to fulfilling the mission of the Smithsonian Young Benefactors. The YBs and its parent organization, The Smithsonian Associates--the cultural and continuing education unit of the Smithsonian—receive no federal funds. Ticket sales and other earned income cannot completely cover the costs of underwriting the Young Benefactors’ numerous events and fundraising activities for the Smithsonian.
By donating or sponsoring us, you:
- Make it possible for the YBs to host and produce more than 60 cultural activities – many of which are free to members - and five major special events each year for thousands of young, professional Washingtonians and to keep our prices affordable
- Enable us to provide crucial financial support for The Smithsonian Associates and its programs, including the Resident Associate Program, Scholars in the Schools, Discovery Theater, the Smithsonian Summer Camp and the Smithsonian Kite Festival.
- Enable us to provide local DC-school children with access to Smithsonian Summer Camp and Discovery Theater.
- Help us to build a foundation for future Smithsonian support
